Sadly, many people take statin drugs, which are commonly known by brand names including Lipitor, Crestor and Zocor. Prescription drug spending in the U.S. shot up to about $374 billion in 2014, representing the highest level of spending since 2001. Statins undoubtedly made up a significant portion of this spending, and now consumers who take such drugs have much more to worry about than the dent it's making in their wallets. The study, which was published in the American Journal of Physiology, states that statins' "...impact on other biologic properties of stem cells provides a novel explanation for their adverse clinical effects." Specifically, the study states that such adverse effects include advancing the "process of aging" and also notes that "...long-term use of statins has been associated with adverse effects including myopathy, neurological side effects and an increased risk of diabetes." Myopathy refers to skeletal muscle weakness. Statins make cells unable to repair properly, create nerve problems and destroy memory Experts involved in the study suggest that the health problems associated with statins have likely been downplayed through the years. In reality, those taking such cholesterol-lowering drugs have been experiencing cataracts, fatigue, liver problems, muscle pain and memory loss. Simply put, the drugs have been found to tamper with cells in such a way that their primary purpose of reproducing and helping the body repair is thwarted. With that comes the onset of terrible health issues or the worsening of existing ones. Professor Reza Izadpanah, a stem cell biologist and lead author of the published study, says, "Our study shows statins may speed up the ageing process. People who use statins as a preventative medicine for [health] should think again as our research shows they may have general unwanted effects on the body which could include muscle pain, nerve problems and joint problems." Despite health problems linked to statin drugs, FDA says people shouldn't be scared of them While the FDA notes on its web site that "Cognitive (brain-related) impairment, such as memory loss, forgetfulness and confusion, has been reported by some statin users" and that "People being treated with statins may have an increased risk of raised blood sugar levels and the development of Type 2 diabetes," they also maintain its safety and effectiveness. The site directs people's attention to the advice of Amy G. Egan, M.D., M.P.H., who is the deputy director for safety in the FDA's Division of Metabolism and Endocrinology Products (DMEP). She says, "This new information should not scare people off statins. Their benefit is indisputable, but they need to be taken with care and knowledge of their side effects." Indisputable? Especially after this latest study, we beg to differ. What's beneficial about accelerated aging, cells that don't properly function, muscle weakness and memory loss? The need to continually assess prescription drugs and older studies that tout their benefits This finding demonstrates the importance of revisiting the so-called benefits of prescription drugs, something that hopefully continues so consumers can be fully informed and kept in the best health possible. A similar eye-opening study involving the adolescent antidepressant Paxil recently made headlines when a reanalysis of an original study exposed errors and incomplete information. In reality, the drug was found not to be safe and effective for its intended demographic after all, a finding that Brian Nosek, a professor of psychology at the University of Virginia, says "signals that the community is waking up, checking its work and doing what science is supposed to do — self-correct." The 400-meter wide formation was discovered using Google Earth satellites in the frozen deserts of Eastern Antarctica, and experts are now claiming that it’s clearly man-made rather than a natural phenomenon. Some historians are speculating as to whether it could be signs of an ancient civilization that once inhabited the cast icy continent in the distant past. There has been a lot of buzz around Antarctica recently with high-ranking officials such as John Kerry, with whistleblowers revealing that a huge discovery has been made there. Ancient Code reports: Curiously, there are numerous ancient maps that depict parts of Antarctica free of ice. One of the most controversial maps was without a doubt composed in 1513, by Turkish Admiral Piri Reis who drew a map that would create a global debate over 500 years after him. The map depicts Antarctica which was discovered between 1818-1820. But how is this possible? It has become a popular belief that ancient civilizations across the globe were in fact much more advanced than what mainstream researchers are crediting them for. Numerous maps discovered in the past are clear indications that the story told today by scholars is incomplete, and there are numerous missing links in our history. These ‘missing links’ are being put together by these incredible ancient maps that prove mankind inhabited our planet much longer than what mainstream scholars believe. Perhaps these ancient maps, in combination with modern satellite images of our planet are the ultimate evidence that civilization could have developed in the most inhospitable places on Earth in the distant past. According to numerous ‘indicators’, such structures have already been identified in recent years. Satellite imagery of the Antarctic continent has revealed several ‘oddly shaped formations’ that are spread across the icy continent. Natural formations? Pareidolia? What could they possibly be? While some of them can easily be explained as natural –geological— formations, there are some discoveries that -according to many authors, question everything we know about Antarctica. Whether or not these structures are manmade, and are evidence of lost ancient civilizations inhabiting Antarctica is hard to tell, and unlikely according to mainstream scholars. However, there are numerous discoveries that point otherwise and suggest we need to look at things from a different perspective. In 2012, a satellite image of Antarctica spotted a strange oval-shaped formation in one of the most remote places on the planet. Thousands of miles from modern society, the strange oval-shaped structure raised numerous questions among experts. At 400-feet across, experts analyzing the image ask whether or not this ‘structure’ could be the result of mother nature. The unusual shape of the structure suggests it may be man-made formation. Observing the image, we immediately notice how the ‘rings’ of the structure resemble a structure in ruins as if we were looking at walls that have been destroyed, collapsed ruins that have been covered by snow and ice. The image taken in 2012 clearly resembles something that may easily have been designed by someone. But designed by whom? The ‘structure’ is located in the middle of Antarctica, one of the most inhospitable places on the surface of the planet, one of the most remote and untouched places on Earth, eastern Antarctica. While the structure may be a man-made structure, experts have to consider a natural explanation, which is the most accurate one; a bizarre ice formation created heavy snowfall, low temperature, and Antarctica’s freezing katabatic wind. Experts believe that what satellites spotted over Eastern Antarctica may be oddly shaped Sastrugi –sharp irregular grooves formed on a snow surface by wind erosion. Snow/ice dunes. However, sastrugi run parallel to the direction of the wind and do not tend to create nearly perfectly shaped oval structures. This connection, of course, goes way back to the Mockingbird CIA operation of the early 1950s. Major news outlets have been infested with CIA operatives since that time. When Trump goes after mainstream news, he's also going after its shadow brother, the CIA; and vice versa. This is no accident. You can't put a heavy dent in one without putting a heavy dent in the other. As the mainstream press continues to stir the pot and attack Trump on every possible front, day after day, they strive to impart the impression that the escalating war between Trump and the CIA is a sign that the president's administration is in a condition of severe imbalance, heading toward the edge of the cliff. Two points about that: the press is trying to protect its shadow brother, the CIA; and the reason a war between a president and the CIA hasn't broken out since JFK and the Bay of Pigs is, simply, no president has dared to challenge the CIA openly. Or to put it another way, every president since Kennedy SHOULD have gone to war with the CIA, but no president did. Trump, so far, is carrying out his version of a war. He may stop, he may make peace, he may turn away, he may decide the consequences are too steep, but so far he's doing, in this respect, what he should be doing, because the CIA has believed, for a long, long time that it is the president, it runs the country, it decides the important issues, it fronts for mega-corporate incursions into foreign nations, it decides foreign policy, it calculates when a regime should be overthrown, it decides how to foment wars that will end up funneling huge chunks of cash to the military-industrial complex... People with attention spans of less than six seconds think rooting out corruption in high places can be done with the stroke of a pen and an executive order. No. Afraid not. Digging out, exposing, and getting rid of the rot and corruption inside the CIA is on the order of turning around an oil tanker in a small lake. That rot and crime wasn't built to its present level overnight. It has been built since 1948. The people who constructed it (with Allen Dulles right up there at the head of the line) assumed they could stage a coup. A national coup. They could essentially take over the country. And to a large extent, they did. JFK's assassination removed a potential obstruction early in the game. Then, nothing. Until Trump. Maybe he'll throw up his hands and forget about going after the CIA. Maybe he'll focus on other parts of his agenda. Though all three may help combat cancer, each is based on misconceptions. The Oxygen Cancer Cure The oxygen cancer cure maintains that cancer cannot survive in the presence of high concentrations of oxygen. That belief dates back to the work of Nobel Laureate Otto Warburg in the 1920s. Though one frequently finds claims that “Warburg proved that cancer cannot survive in the presence of oxygen”, that is not what Warburg actually found. Warburg found that cancer thrived in a low oxygen environment and THAT led him to postulate that cancer might die off if exposed to higher levels of oxygen. However, as natural health authority Dr. Andrew Weil explains, “Dr. Warburg was wrong. Oxygen doesn’t slow cancer growth – tumors grow rapidly in tissues well supplied with oxygenated blood.” Cancer cells do not form as a direct result of low oxygen. Cancer cells are formed as part of a body defense mechanism which results from prolonged cellular stress. As part of the process, cancer cells revert to a primitive form of respiration which uses glucose instead of oxygen. Even though increased oxygen may not kill cancer cells, low oxygen levels can help create an unhealthy cellular terrain which is more susceptible to cancer. Healthy oxygenated blood is vital for a healthy body and immune system which can better battle cancer. The Alkaline Cure Another popular alternative cancer cure maintains that cancer can be cured if a person can elevate their body pH to 8.0 or above for four days. The “alkaline cancer cure” also maintains that cancer will not grow if the body’s pH is maintained between 7.0 and 7.5. In fact, cancer frequently gains a foothold and grows when pH is in or near the normal blood pH levels of 7.35 to 7.45. Typically, body pH drops to around 7.0 in the early stages of cancer and the pH continues to decline as the cancer progresses. Cancer cells convert glucose to lactic acid, which lowers pH. The more cancer cells, the more lactic acid and the lower the pH. Without a doubt, a healthy alkaline diet can help defeat cancer since it provides important cancer-fighting and immune-boosting compounds as well as helps the body eliminate toxins. As the alkaline diet helps kill off cancer cells, the pH is naturally raised due to the alkalinity of the diet as well as lower production of lactic acid by fewer cancer cells. The Baking Soda and Molasses Cure Though there are many reports of people beating cancer with a combination of baking soda and molasses (or maple syrup), there is a general misconception of why such a combination might work. Most often we hear that the combo works because sugar-loving cancer cells are tricked into taking in the baking soda when they gobble up the molasses or maple syrup. Baking soda can indeed help defeat some cancer and, based on the large number of anecdotal success stories, it appears that the addition of molasses or maple syrup does increase the success rate in many instances. It may be that the addition of the sugary substances somehow potentiate cancer cells to make them more susceptible to taking in baking soda and perhaps other items normally kept out of cancer cells. It may also be because molasses and maple syrup contain important minerals and other compounds which help fight cancers. However, there is no way that a combination of baking soda and molasses or maple syrup makes its way intact to the cancer cell. Even if the digestive system somehow failed to break the combination down, such a combination would be far too large to enter the bloodstream. It is probably worth noting that the man most often cited as an example of beating cancer with a baking soda and molasses combo also incorporated a healthy diet and breathing exercises as part of his protocol. It is also worth noting that it can be dangerous trying to elevate pH levels too much and trying to maintain elevated pH for long periods of time. As reported by CBC news (Canada): The paper quotes one student as saying, “Scales are very triggering” for people with eating disorders. “Next it will be the mirrors. #bringbackthescale,” wrote one Carleton student on Facebook, while another said online, “Are you for real, Carleton? What a sick joke.” This is what happens when science education is based on socially popular myth rather than physical reality The university’s decision to declare gravity to be “intolerant” is, of course, entirely predictable given academia’s mission of teaching students to believe in “feelings” rather than the laws of nature. As witnessed by the science-obliterating “climate change” cult also being widely taught in today’s universities, what matters in government-contorted science education is not getting the right answer but feeling like you’ve sufficiently conformed to the socially acceptable delusions of your obedient, brain-damaged peers. The problem, of course, with abandoning reality and replacing it with “feelings” is that feelings can always be hurt in yet another offensive way nobody thought of before… especially if you’re an intolerant, psychologically fragile libtard snowflake who gets “triggered” by machines that measure gravity’s pull on your body mass. As a perfect example of this, the wellness programs manager at the university, a man woman trans LIFE FORM named Bruce Marshall (we can’t assume its gender, can we?) explained why gravity sucks for university wellness programs: “If you need a number to focus on in regard to reaching certain fitness goals we suggest using girth measurements. You can start by recording measurements in multiple areas, for example your torso, hips, chest, legs and arms. You would then revisit these measurements after a few weeks to keep tabs on your progress.” Why stop with gravity? Universities should also ban NUMBERS and WORDS because those can be offensive, too Ah yes, but what happens when students using measuring tapes are triggered by the girth of their own hips? Aaargh! The answer, of course, is to BAN ALL NUMBERS, including those on measurement tapes. All measuring tapes handed out at universities shall henceforth be BLANK, as shall all the minds of the students and faculty… That’s the ultimate goal of academia’s contorted collision with social justice f##ktardery, you see: The complete banning of integers, words, gravity, logic and reason. (Who says $100,000 in student debt wasn’t worth it?) They’re also banning words, too, because words can trigger people. That’s the new education system: Ban all numbers, and words, and laws of physics. Then declare yourself to be the “intellectual elite” because you’re obviously cognitively superior to those who never went to college and therefore didn’t earn your degree in “F##ktardery Studies.” With all numbers banned, and gravity banned, and intelligent, rational thinking banned, everyone will finally be safe … and progressive, libtard student snowflakes can finally crawl back into the wombs of their mothers to return to that ultimate “safe space” from which they were first triggered in a sickening episode called “birth” — which, even now, is being called a horrible thing because it means a courageous abortion wasn’t committed first. Reality, you see, is just too damn offensive for students — and university faculty — to handle anymore.
